I qualified in 1982 as a State Registered Nurse at West Middlesex University Hospital. I initially worked within Endocrinology then moved to Gastroenterology, Haematology & Chest Medicine. I moved to Birmingham in 1984 to work on Coronary Care then moved 12 months later to Plymouth to work in Stroke Rehab & Endocrinology. In 1990 I moved again to Wolverhampton where I gained experience in all clinical areas, Medicine, Surgical, Paediatrics ITU & CCU. Eventually I returned to Yorkshire where I spent several years in the private sector (Health Screening, Elderly Care & Neuro Rehab), I returned to the NHS in 2002, again working within the speciality of Stroke.

I joined the Cystic Fibrosis team in 2010 just prior to the CF ward opening. I have a special interest in Nutrition and Infection control and have attended Courses at University of Sheffield specifically in these topics.
