I have been a Registered General Nurse for over 8 years. My academic qualifications include a BA (Hons) Medical Science degree in Nursing. I originally started off on the Stroke Unit and joined the CF Team in 2010 with the launch of the new CF Ward. I then became a CF Specialist Nurse 2 years ago and work predominantly in the outpatients department.
I have a keen interest in CF Related Diabetes and have, with the help of the Diabetes Team and the CF dieticians, worked to improve and develop the diabetes service for our CF patients, including improvement in the monitoring and screening of patients. As a result of an increased frequency of CF related diabetes clinics, patients now receive more focused and individualised care and management plans.
