Dr Neil Hamilton

Neil is one of the leading pharmacists in Pulmonary Vascular Disease in the UK. Having gained his Pharmacy Degree at the Welsh School of Pharmacy and completed pre-registration training in Devon, he moved to Sheffield where he has worked in a number of roles since 1996. Neil became involved in PH in 2003 and has not looked back, developing a specialist interest in this rare disease area. Neil qualified as an independent non-medical prescriber in 2008 and was more recently awarded a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2013 where his thesis investigated the oral treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Neil has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on the subject of PH and has presented research at international conferences.

In addition to his local role, Neil is the current Chairman of PH Professionals; the UK group of allied healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with PH. He is also the Pharmacist representative on the PH Clinical Reference Group.
