Sheffield cystic fibrosis research team win award at international conference 17th June 2016

Dr Hui Hoo, who is funded by an NIHR Research Fellowship, has won a poster prize at the International European Cystic Fibrosis Conference.

This important award reflects the recognition that this work represents a way to shift CF care from expensive hospital-based rescue to community-based prevention, allowing people with CF to self-manage their disease. People with CF spend around 8000 hours per year managing their illness and the poster highlights the importance of supporting that self management.

This work is part of the "ACTIF" Programme funded by the NIHR and lead by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and the University of Sheffield School of Health and Related Research (SCHaRR).
