New Research Coordinator for Respiratory Medicine - Lisa Watson joins the team 21st October 2018
Hello everyone, I would like to introduce myself as the new research coordinator for Respiratory Medicine. I will be working 3 days a week alongside Jim Lithgow to continue providing research support for the directorate.
Jim and I help staff to obtain ethics, regulatory and governance approvals for clinical research studies, assist with funding applications. We work closely with the Respiratory Research Executive, Clinical Research Office (R&D), Clinical Research Facilities and Academic partners in Sheffield. We are points of contact for anyone with a Respiratory Medicine research enquiry.
Using research to improve peoples lives is very important to me. Previously I worked at the University of Sheffield where I completed my PhD in Neurosciences and worked as a Postdoctoral researcher aiming to understand the genetic causes of Parkinson's Disease.
Moving into research coordination in Respiratory Medicine is very exciting and I am looking forward to the challenge.
