Development of an intervention to support Adherence to treatment in adults with Cystic Fibrosis 1st March 2016

ACTiF is a 5 year research programme funded by the National Institute for Health Research, led by a Sheffield team at the STH Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre and the University of Sheffield School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR). The programme will develop and evaluate a new approach to helping people with cystic fibrosis adhere to their medications.

The initial phase of the research, which has involved exploring the views of patients and clinicians and development of technologies to collect patient treatment data, has been successful. The next part of the research, starting in May 2016, will involve a pilot trial at two other Cystic Fibrosis Units in the UK.
