IQVIA PH data studies

STH is collaborating with IQVIA to undertake two large data studies with the aim of develop new approaches to diagnosing and treating PH. A link to the detailed information sheet relating to this research is provided below.

We would like to input some of your medical information to a database being used for research into PH – importantly, all your personal details such as name, address and telephone number would be removed by hospital staff before being submitted to this database. The reason for this is that it is hoped that the research findings will help the NHS and its partners to make informed decisions about the future development of specialist services for PH; and will also help us to develop new approaches to diagnosing and treating PH, including supporting the development of new drug discovery in partnership with pharmaceutical companies.

BUT, If you decide you would not like your data to be contributed to this research study, just let us know by talking to a member of the research team.

The research team includes members from different organisations:

  • Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
  • The University of Sheffield
  • IQVIA (a company who specialise in clinical data analysis)

We are conducting two studies:

One of these is looking into pre-diagnosis pathways for PAH. Please click here to access the full participant information sheet for this study.

The second study is a real world data study of PAH, CTEPH and SAPH patients. This study is funded by Janssen (a pharmeutical company). Click here to access the detailed participant information sheet about this research.
